Reinforced concrete arch technology has been extensively used in middle-span and long-span bridge design because of the features such as its high integral stiffness, making full use of the material property, with great ability of span and its light and graceful appearance etc. In this paper, on the basis of the design proposal of Weihegou Bridge which is a 115m main span deck-type reinforced concrete X-arch bridge, the FEM software MIDAS/CIVIL is introduced to establish the spatial finite model of bridge with the elementary beam theory and to simulate the loading capacity and dynamic characteristics analysis. The spatial behaviours of the entire structure system is researched.Firstly, this paper briefly intrduces the status development and structural features of railway arch bridge at home and abroad. Then it tells the engineering background and the specific structure design proposal of Weihegou Bridge and describes the bridge's each part of the modeling in details. After that, the structure behavior and the deformation during operation stage which is under the load combination of dead load, live load, braking force, nosing force, system temperature, sunshine and wind load etc are calculated with MIDAS FEM model. In the dynamic regard, the bridge's the natural period of vibration and mode of vibration are calculated by subspace iteration method. And the seismic response analysis is made with response spectrum method and the structural earthquake resistant behaviour are verified. Based on the seismic checking calculation, some reasonable advises are proposed for anti-seismic design of structures. At last, the bridge's stability analysis evaluation is provided by analyzing the bridge's FEM model. Eventually,it can provide reliable advice for the structure design and construction based on the bridge's static and dynamic analysis.From the above study, the author understands the static and dynamic property relatively comprehensively, and learns computational analysis metrod of this kind of bridge.
