A Research On Disaster Prevention Environment Of Elementary School In Earthquake District

This research is about asylum-seeking environment after earthquake based on Wenchuan Earthquake. These research finished investigations in elementary school at Mianzhu in which school building are seriously damaged in'5.12'earthquake. We choose representative schools in urban area, the edge of the city and in the suburb area to do the investigation. We want to find the characters and the tendency of the school building's asylum-seeking environment through the change of the site plan, plan, interior settings, structure between the pre-earthquake and post-earthquake. This research also discussed about the relationship between asylum-seeking cognition and asylum-seeking education.In the site plan, it cares about the safety of the city and the school,the relationship between the school and the city got no fundamental change.In the plan, it mainly concerned about:asylum-seeking space, the number of people's layout, whether it is convenience for the teacher to organize the students in emergency situation, the distance of asylum-seeking, the asylum-seeking width, the recognition.In the interior place, it mainly concerned about material that may easily broken, furniture and attached things that tightly fixed or not.The setting and use of the asylum-seeking assistant equipment, it mainly talks about fire extinguisher:whether the new schools are equipped properly or not.On the asylum-seeking education and cognition, I concerned about teacher and students'cognition about asylum-seeking space, the time choosing to do asylum-seeking, the action of asylum-seeking.This research also concerned about the structure change between the pre-earthquake schools and newly built schools.From the contrast between the pre-earthquake school and post-earthquake school, we can see that the asylum-seeking environment in newly built school post-earthquake improved a lot than before. But the effect to the city's asylum-seeking environment, and the safety of the asylum-seeking way, interior settings, the setting of asylum-seeking assistant equipment, especially the asylum-seeking education have large space of improvement.
