Research On The Old Industrial Building' Re-Use Value Evaluation Factor

Industrial architecture heritage is a special language of cities, for they took a record of the cities' industrial civilization journey. Nowadays, under the pressure of cities' rapid development, as a witness of the important history, the old industrial buildings urgently need to be protected. Industrial buildings' protecting is based on value evaluation, analyzing deeply to recognize the value of the industrial buildings is the base of protection and the premise of its redevelopment. As a result, it is very important to do systematic authentication and value evaluation of the old industrial buildings.Industrial buildings have different characteristics from other cultural heritages as they have stable structural design and space layout of long span, big space, which give them wide, function adaptability. As a matter of fact, old industrial buildings have huge potential value of redevelopment and reuse. Based on the point of city's future development, this article tries to discuss about the historical and cultural value, the potential possibility or reuse of the old industrial buildings. This article tries to set up a frame of value evaluation factor system for old industrial buildings'reuse. It is also provide the researchers with resources for them to do evaluation practice and a reference. I hope to do more or less help to the protection and reuse of old industrial buildings which have historical value or potential possibility to reuse.This paper talks about the old industrial buildings'protection and reuse practice, the value evaluation system of old industrial buildings. It also defines the concept of old industrial building and industrial heritage. It briefly talks about the types of the old industrial buildings and the industrial heritage. At last, from the point of city's future development, this part sets up the reuse evaluation factor system on potential possibility of the old industrial buildings from both organic value and the value of material gaining.In the end the paper will analyze and examine typical case to prove the rationality scientificalness of the old industrial building's value evaluation factor system which set by this paper.
