So, it is necessary to make an analysis, research, design and develop on the system of computer aided railway yard layout plan design.Base on the analysis of computer aided railway yard design system research and the results from previous studies, this paper mainly research the method, model and application technology related to computer aided railway yard layout plan design, and the work of these research was applicated to the system.The paper's research emphasized on several aspects as follow:1. By the way of system analysis and system design, this captor has systematic analysis and discussion on the aim, principle, capability, function, implementation method, critical techniques and overall structure of the system, and build up charts on its structure and its data flow, on the same time give a short introduction on the data structure and interface of the system.2. Summary the ways of calculating the position of fouling post and signal during railway yard layout plan design. By comparing the advantages and disadvantages of theses calculation methods, and making consideration of the yard data structure of this system, chose the most appropriate way to calculate the position of fouling post and signal and draw these out.3. Give brief details of various models and algorithms inside computer aided railway yard layout plan design system. At last, the model and algorithms are justified with practical example.4. After get the railway yard layout plan, making use of the new method raised by this paper, system arranges routes of operations in the railway yard automatically. And then by the mean of Tight side optimization method for the maximum parallel route, filtering the routes belong to the same operation in the railway yard, finally gain the best operation route.
