The Local Traditional Cultural Continuation In Southern Min Living Environment Design

In the light of nowadays domestic resident environmental design pursuit western environmental landscape style by means of simply imitate and copy, finally, most of cities in China are take on the same appearance.this pursuit ignore the present status that the relation between domestic resident environmental design and local culture. Though research this project, we induce traditional landscape architectural element, cultural characteristic and correlate district features of Southern Min region. In modern resident environment, we attempt to do better expression of Southern Min distinguishing feature culture and local humanistic connotation, thus advocate to reserve outstanding traditional district cultural feature, at the base of contain, digest and absorb the external culture, we should display our national district environmental art design which belong to ourselves. Lenin once said:"Forget past means betrayal.' Face with the new city landscape design in the ways of Chinese civilizing process, except should we consider the new usage of landscape, also must respect history of site environmental and ecology it. "The pride of a nation is also the pride of the world." This sentence will play a direct significance to realize Chinese human resident environmental modernization.Be concerned only with so called "city modernization" and short of profound regional cultural foundation, blindly city tendency substitute the regional specific property in resident environment. The knot itself reflect the ignorance of regional human resident culture which belong to the district and forget the classic connotation of local historic meaning, and at last lost the characteristic and local residence's kind belongingness. The academic value and practical significance of this study is devoting to avoid the same tendency in human resident environmental design and pay close attention to regional cultural feature's crisis. Regional tradition culture is accumulative, developing and full of livingness. Hence in Chinese economic development and the enhancement of Chinese competition will in large extent depend on profound basis of national culture. In the aspect of human resident environmental design, we need carry on a systemic comprehension to our traditional culture and find the new consensus and valuable inheritance. The paper starts with the development of modern resident environmental design, its present tendency and requirement. By means of participate in Longhai diamond waterfront city resident district, which design for last Southern Min regional characteristic culture theme. We collect and research the background data, such as Southern Min culture and its traditional environmental architectural pattern. We synthesize all project background data; ultimately, we get a series of design experimental consequence. After over-all analysis and discussion of this project, I get a foresight conclusion about the future landscape developing orientation that is in the course of Chinese civilization, domestic landscape design should develop a consciousness of national identity and regional characteristic culture, at the same time, we must respect ecological nature seriously and build correct relationship between human and land, human and nature, the most importantly the harmonious intergrowth bearing between human and ecology.
