A Study On The Landscape Design Of Traditional Settlements In Southern Sichuan From The Perspective Of The Inheritance Of Local Culture

Since the beginning of the 21 st century,my country’s economy has developed rapidly,the process and level of urbanization have been continuously improved,and the pace of urban and rural integration has accelerated.The rapid expansion of cities has brought unprecedented development opportunities to traditional settlements.At the same time,traditional settlements are also facing problems such as labor loss,"hollowing" and "aging" of villages.In addition,with the emergence of a series of destructive development problems such as the large-scale demolition and construction of traditional settlements,"vacation of cages for birds",and "one side of a thousand villages",traditional settlements and the regional and local culture they carry are gradually disappearing from our vision.Based on the traditional settlements in southern Sichuan,the research explores the deepseated connotation of the local culture of the traditional settlements in southern Sichuan,and discovers the landscape value and expression form of the local culture of the traditional settlements in southern Sichuan,summarizes and puts forward the principles and methods of landscape design for the traditional settlements in southern Sichuan.The research combines the typical traditional settlement cases in southern Sichuan,and analyzes its formation reasons,spatial distribution,architectural layout and settlement texture,meanwhile,explores the landscape components and existing problems of traditional settlements in southern Sichuan.The research is based on the literature review of relevant research status at home and abroad,field investigations,visits and questionnaires of typical traditional settlements in southern Sichuan,combined with professional comprehensive knowledge of disciplines such as urban and rural planning,landscape architecture and geography,from the elements of natural environment,Material cultural elements and non-material cultural elements explore the elements of the rural cultural landscape of the traditional settlements in southern Sichuan,realize the excavation and refinement of their rural cultural elements,and finally use them directly or indirectly in project practice.In the process of upgrading the local cultural landscape of Taiping Ancient Town in Gulin County,Luzhou City,the author deeply analyzed the historical development background and regional cultural composition of Taiping Ancient Town.Investigation and analysis of the status quo of the infrastructure and its surrounding environment revealed that the local culture is mainly composed of the salt-transportation culture of the Chishui River,the red culture of the Red Army crossed Chishui four times during the long march,the architectural culture of regional characteristics,and the food culture.The author excavates and extracts elements of the rural culture of Taiping Ancient Town from the three levels of material entity,historical inheritance and spiritual externalization,summarizes the regional rural culture of Taiping Ancient Town,transforms and uses them,and finally realizes the overall integration of the regional rural culture of Taiping Ancient Town and the landscape Design and special design.The research has drawn the overall plan and strategy for the landscape improvement design of Taiping Ancient Town,realizing the reproduction of the rural cultural landscape of Taiping Ancient Town,and realizing the sustainable development of tourism.Avoid homogenization in the development of traditional settlements in adjacent regions and form a situation of vicious competition.The research aims to provide reference cases and experiences for the local culture excavation and landscape enhancement design of other traditional settlements in the southern Sichuan region where Taiping Ancient Town is located and even across the country.The thoughts on the inheritance of rural culture and the design of rural landscapes caused by that are hoped to get the attention and resonance of related scholars and landscape architects.
