Textile industry is China's traditional strengths industry. It plays an extremely important position in China's industrial system. In the storage areas of textile production process, its storage is mostly elevated storage. Material storage of elevated storage is different from general storage's. All the material are placed on top of metal shelves, and most are flammable.. It can easily lead to a large area of fire in the event of fire; After the fire, the fire spread very rapidly, it generates large area of high-temperature region and a lot of smoke, it brings a big problem for the evacuation and material aid within the storage.Currently, the study of the storage fire focuses on early detection and effective fire fighting, however, the study of the storage structure fire on the impact of smoke is less. As the material in the elevated storage places in different ways, it limits the upward movement of hot smoke to the fire of the surrounding air entrainment, making the plume based on regional modeling simulation software is not used to simulate the elevated storage fire smoke movement. Therefore, this paper uses field simulation software FDS to simulate fire smoke movement of the elevated storage.FDS simulation software primarily simulates smoke flow inside the storage in the state of the natural ventilation and mechanical ventilation. Through comparative analysis of two state of storage temperature and visibility, it obtains that mechanical ventilation forms the negative pressure has changed the flow field inside the storage, forms a new line of smoke, reduces the temperature of evacuation routes, while increasing storage visibility.
