With the national economy and the rapid development of engineering construction, grouting technology has been extensively used in a variety of construction projects. Grouting material has been one of the key issues and rapidly developed in recent years. Cement particles, representative for granule material, is coarse and hard into the sand stratum and micro-cracks stratum. Although the injection of chemical grout is good, it has not been extensively used due to its toxicity. It is very necessary to explore new grouting material, which is cheap, good injection, nontoxic, and green. In this thesis, fine powder made of slag, which is waste from steel plant, as a grouting material has been studied.The basic components and the physical property of superfine slag powder have been studied. The best ratios of two additives were discovered by orthogonal test method. According to the two best ratios, ultra-fine slag permeability model test has been conducted. A series of important results have been obtained from this study, as following:(1) Superfine slag powder is a non-hydraulic material, which does not occur with water. SF gel and HN intensifier were used to stimulate the activity of superfine slag powder, which supply the evidence for following orthogonal test. Based on the theory of orthogonal test, multi-factor ratio test has been conducted and the best ratio of serum was obtained.(2) Penetration simulation test has been conducted using laboratory-made ultra-fine slag. The relationship among the amount, the pressure, the time, and diffusion radius of serum is determined according to different pressure and diffusion radius. The injection of ultra-fine slag in sand stratum has been studied.(3) The results testified that the injection of ultra-fine slag powder is better than the ordinary cement. The ultra-fine slag powder is a cheap and promising value of the grouting material.In this thesis, the injection of ultra-fine slag in sand stratum has been studied and obtained some useful results, but further study is needed because something stills an open question.
