In recent years, with the development of economy and advancement of technology, our country's modern transportation industry made rapid development, while the phenomenon of vehicle overload is becoming increasingly common. Especially in areas rich in mineral resources, overload behavior almost exist in all the freight vehicles. However, the present ways and technology of controlling vehicle overload have failed to be effectively resolved this problem. As a result, the phenomena such as damage of a road, traffic accidents, deterioration of the transport market and so on, continue to repeatedly happen. Therefore, in order to resolve these problem existed in governance of automobile overload, This study design a kind prewarning system of vehicle overload which based on sensor technology, micro-control technology and GSM/SMS technology. The system includes two modules which are the testing of vehicle overload and prewarning of GE863-GPS. The core controller of the system is AT89S52 microcontroller, which software development platform are C language and KeilĪ¼Vision2. The main contents and conclusions of this research are as follows:(1) Based on the analysis of the scheme and technology of domestic and foreign automotive dynamic weighing, the paper design a kind prewarning system of vehicle overload together with a car, which commits to resolve the problems of precision in weighing, the high cost about the system's development of vehicle overload detection, and vehicle overload Detection methods that lacks of convenience.(2) Based on the design scheme and design thought, take articulated vehicle for example, under the assumptions and abstract of articulated vehicle structure, the overload detection mathematical model was established and then analyzed, which indicated that the model could accurately reflect the loading and deformation condition.(3) Design the software and hardware of overload detection system. The section of the hardware part includes design of single chip minimize system circuit, sensor signal amplifier circuit, data acquisition circuit,data presentation and serial communication, etc; Compile the program of A/D conversion LCD display, data processing and serial communication, etc. using C language in Kei Vision2 development environment. And a program design flow chart was given. (4) Design of GSM module. GE863 - GPS module developed by Italian Telit company was used in the system. This paper designed the relevant AT instruction function and related parameters Settings, tested and analyzed SMS function and designed the peripheral circuit of control section. Such as power supply circuit, switch and reset circuit, GSM/GPS antenna circuit, SIM card circuit, etc.(5) Through debugging the overload detection and GE863-GPS models and their combination the experiment showed that the detection model was able to collect the signal from the sensors and realize LCD display. And it could send overload message to accomplish the purpose of early warning when the detection value outnumbered the setting one, which proved that the whole system could realize the early warning of cars overload.
