With the rapid development of innovation, Chinese transportation market economy become increasing activity .The holding numbers of automobiles had been 2400 ten thousand by the end of 2003.In 2003,the mileage of road that is open to traffic was 181 ten thousand kilometers. The share of road transportation has been around one half of the share of all transportation market. At first, we have no road transportation, but it is abundance enough to compete with each other drastically. For receiving great profits, many people choose overload to grain their ends. So overload problem results in negative social effect. Facing to increasing far-ranging overload phenomenon, it is attentive for all people how to check and control overload effectively. To supply effective measures on overload for Chinese road administration, traffic department, to keep nomal traffic order,Jiaotong Institute of Jilin University has been responsible for the science and technology item on western traffic construction,whose name is the study of the transportation monitor system for overload vehicles. I'm luky to join them. According to foreign father status on overload, the problem team analyzed essence and source of overload problem in detail, and studied and developed the monitor system for vehicles. The project has some advantages, eg. facility, reliability, practicality, low power cost, brainpower and so on. Firstly, the thesis has introduced that overload problem had effect on Chinese road transportation in detail, by analysis of foreign farther measure and study status on overload problem. It decreases use life of traffic basic means, for example, highway surface and bridge appears serious damage that is earlier than planned or expected. So it increases country's maitenance cost of road and bridge. Overload leads to traffic accidents easily. It influences on normal operation of highway, results in dropping in velocity of traffic flow. It brings serious air pollution and destroy surroundings. It leads to the loss of country's taxes. According to the study of overload essence, we find overload reasons and resolving method of overload problem during the course of domestic road tranportation. Secondly, the thesis has also introduced in detail the working principles and the designing contents of each coposement of the system, mainly including the idea of technology, designing the overload controller and developing the overload executing system. According to the in-depth analysis of overload problem and survey and research of main type of overload vehicles, linking with foreign advanced experience, we seek solve overload methods radically. Because the engine of overload vehicle is diesel engine in most conditions, we analyzed construction characteristic of ignition system of diesel. Since ignition system works as compression of combustible mixture, it doesn't work as stoppage of suplying fuel. So, it is credible that use measure on stopping supplying fuel to control run of diesel, when vehicle is oveload. Compared to chosen overload test sensor, we chosed induction sensor during the course of designing at last. In accordance with efficient,exact,objective principle, we regarded 80C51 SCM as overload controller, and wrote controlling program in assemble language. When vehicle is overload, it can give an alarm and use corresponding controll measure. When the function of the system carries out, electrical solenoid of stopping supplying fuel on high pressure pump receives high electrical current under conditions of starting, but the electrical solenoid closes when it receives low current in conditions of normal operation. Then it stops supplying fuel automatically to prevent vehicle from going. It realized the designing idea of controlling overload.
