Heritage Corridor Construction Of Yangzhou Ancient Canal

Yangzhou Ancient Canal has an important place in the system of the Grand Canal. With the voice of Grand Canal to apply the world's cultural heritage gradually increasing,it's necessary and urgent to have a systematic research on Yangzhou Ancient Canal.Based on Landscape Architecture,Heritage Conservation and other involved thoeries,this dissertation did some researches on constructing the Heritage Corridor which in order to provide the basic research for the application of world cultural heritage of Yangzhou Ancient Canal,and attempt to provide feasible strategy for the protection and utilization of the canal.Start with the thought of regional heritage protection,,which expounds the concept, characteristics, selection criteria and elements of heritage corridor, and discuss the standards that Yangzhou Ancient Canal measure up to the heritage corridor protection.Besides, the text provide the basic ideas of Constructing heritage corridor which includes resource investigation, analysis and evaluation, theme determination,boundary definition and construction of overall protection pattern.Based on the theory, we study the relative cases about Heritage Corridor construction,which including these cases from world heritage canal and the national heritage corridor.Based on the above heritage corridor construction ideas and relative case studies, we start to substantiate the heritage corridor construction of the ancient grant canal in Yangzhou First is analysis and evaluation of ancient canal heritage resources. After analysis of the types and composition of heritage,we divide Heritage resources of Yangzhou ancient canal into three categories:irrigation heritage of ancient canal itself ,other cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage that related to ancient canal. On this basis, we discuss the construction of heritage corridor structure,concretely including corridor theme determination, boundary definition, and overall protecting pattern construction.Among them,overall protecting pattern construction includes that: building continuous green space system,developed tourism path system, perfect interpretation system and put forward strategies about the protection of every heritage spot.The innovation of this dissertation is to realize the ideas about the whole protection and utility of Yangzhou Ancient Canal by constructing heritage corridor.Relative theory frame and research methods has a certain significance for canal heritage protection research.
