In automated production lines , it is deadly strike if the key devices was halt. The cause maybe the few seconds'even hundreds milliseconds'voltage sag. To resolve the voltage sag, more and more electricity customers prefer to install the UPS for the key devices. Super-capacitor power UPS is a device for resisting voltage sag installing the DC bus. It is a new type UPS with larger power, faster response, longer life. To improve the response rate and energy utilization of super-capacitor power UPS, this dissertation researched on a series of energy storage technologies.Speeding up the charge and equalization of super-capacitor energy storage system can enhance the response of power UPS. This dissertation researched on the control technology of BUCK charge circuit, and proposed a constant-compare charge control mode. This control mode can make the charge rate fastest and floating charge automatically with few components.On the equalization research, this dissertation compared the switched capacitor equalization mode and BUCK-BOOST equalization mode, then proposed a expression of control parameter for BUCK-BOOST equalization mode. The expression could found a balance between efficiency and rate. The super-capacitor energy storage system is has limited capacity, by features and size's features. To maximize use of limited energy, this dissertation proposed a regulator circuit parameter's expression.In the end, the conclusion has been verified through system design and simulations. It offered expressions and simulations for improving efficiency of super-capacitor power UPS. That could give some elicitation for further investigation of super-capacitor energy storage system.
