Experimental Study On Lime-Flyash Steel Slag

Stack of steel slag has emerged with the development of steel industry ,and it has become a problem demanding prompt solution how to make use of it reasonably and effectively.Meanwhile, another problem come into sight that aggregate is in the lack accompanied by the road constructions. Here it is focused on this paper how to substitutite lime-fly ash steel slag for Lime Fly-Ash Stabilized Material for subbase of Pavement. The following based on the current study concentrates on the mechanical properties and expansion of steel slag by researching into the technology of steel slag-treating, physical mechanics, chemical property, size distribution in Steel Slag of Guo Feng Steel Co,Ltd,Tangshan.A conclusion has been reached that the steel slag handled can be used in road construction after comparing its road performance with stone materials of road works.The mixed material with the optimum proportion of Lime-fly ash steel slag has also been put forward with the experiment on raw material property, compound compaction and unconfined compressive strength, as well as the investigation into the road performance of different cement and fly ash content, in which steel slag is the load-bearing skeleton while other materials closely stuff the gap and package its surface, forming the comparative stable structure. Then, tested road is paved according to the optimum proportion and a rational analysis is made related to pilling-up, followed by the question's origins and solving strategies.Such a research focusing on the substitution of lime-flyash steel slag for lime-flyash Stabilized Material for subbase of Pavement has not only improved the efficiency of resources-exploiting,but also protected the environment and ease the problem of inadequacy of aggregate.The research can provide certain reference significance in the the field of road-constrction with steel slag for Guo Feng steel Co,Ltd as well as other authorities in other regions.
