Some scientific experiments require pulse high magnetic field, and pulse high magnetic field facility can provide pulse high magnetic field. Capacitor bank is one of the most important parts of pulse high magnetic field facility, and the technology effects the reliable operation of the facility. Capacitor charging technology is the key technology of capacitor bank power system, and the work of this paper is based on the capacitor charging technology.The characteristics of forward and reverse discharging of traditional power system of pulse high magnetic field facility are analyzed in this dissertation, using the mechanical polarity switch to change the discharge direction to generate forward and reverse magnetic field. As the mechanical switches is slow and can not produce forward and reverse pulse magnetic field quickly, this paper proposes two methods based on bidirectional to charge capacitor, pointing out two new circuits and comparing the two circuits based on their merits and drawbacks. It is proved that based on SCR-switched of the charging system meets the bidirectional charge in the first side,and its control is simple and can quickly change the charging direction, and this method will be discussed in chapter three.The Principle of bidirectional capacitor charging technology based on SCR-switched is given. The high-frequency series resonant inverter system and SCR-switched technology are discussed, and the average charge current is invariable. The series-parallel resonant capacitor charging is analyzed, and the transformer's distributed parameter and rectifier's distributed parameters should be considered in the condition of high voltage and high frequency. The direction of charging capacitor can be selected by SCR-switched circuit, and SCR is the most important parts of this circuit. At last, it supplies the actual parameters for the reference by simulation.The main electrical parameters of the resonant circuit and a variety of auxiliary circuits are designed, and one way of decreasing the transfer's distributed capacitor is introduced. The switching frequency and the resonant electrical parameters should be selected in the suitable conditions and the capacitor voltage increases linearly, in the protection under over current, over voltage. In the next step, this bidirectional system to charge the capacitor based on SCR-switched will be developed.
