Automotive powertrain plays a very important role in automotive structure, and has a great impact on vehicle performance. In the last few years, Chinese automotive industry has developed rapidly, and more and more automobiles have been equipped with automotive transmissions (AT). However, Chinese AT research has a long way to catch up with the foreign advanced level. So it is very important to develop the AT with our own intellectual property . This thesis focuses on AT electronic control system. The thesis begins with the introduction of AT electronic control system's components, according to type "01N" in Santona 2000GSI-AT. A measurement system is also developed to test the signals of electronic control unit (ECU), and through the test, the characters of ECU signals are obtained.Secondly, the thesis describes the hardware design of ECU, which includes central control unit, power module, signal input channels, signal output channels and CAN communication module. Then, the thesis pays a great attention on the shift control strategies of AT. This chapter begins with the calculation of basic shift schedule, and meanwhile the disadvantages of basic shift schedule are pointed out. Then the methods of driver's intention and environment recognition and shift control strategies are come up respectively. With the analysis of these shift control stratedies, an intelligent shift control system is set up.Last but not least, the thesis describes the control rules and specific implementing solutions of AT shift, lockup of torque convertor and oil pressure control. The results of test-bench and car-testing experiments have showed that the ECU of our own has a good performance in economy, dynamics and comfort.
