Study On Consolidation Settlement Discipline And Application Of Soft Soil Foundation In The Coastal Port

The distribution of soft soil is very extensive along the coast in China,Soft soil has such features high moisture as, low strength , big compressibility capacity and long time for consolidation.Because of the heavy external loads,the soft clay consolidation is necessary before building the coast port to make sure its security,durability and the some economic benefits while it is finished.The article elaborate engineering features and extensive distribution, introduce the settlement methods on calculation and prediction of soft foundation,analyze the advantages and disadvantages,combine the geological features and study the treatment effect on soft foundation.Humen Port use the Plastic Drain Board preloading method.The article analyze and summary the characteristics and patterns of variability of Humen Port's foundation by the job of settlement monitoring,data analysis and settlement prediction,then make some directiongs under the quality assurance.The article use Asaoka with conic fitting method,grey method and BP neural network method to fitting the measured datas,After comparative and analysis the three fitting results,the author conclude:the first method's prediction effect is the best one,grey method is the second one and BP neural network is the third.But BP neural network is the best one in fitting effect comparing.Combined with the characteristics of guangzhou delta region's soft soil and the settlement observation data of humen port's soft ground, Consider the soft foundation treatment's effect is good and the consolidation is remarkable, analysis the factors that may affect the settlement of soft soil by the use of observation data.The article analysis the factors by using orthogonal design theory,study on the thickness of the soft soil,depth of the plastic drain,height of the filling soil and reinforced or not,proved after test and calculate that the height of the filling soil is the key factor,and the next is the reinforced or not, the thickness of the soft soil and the depth of the plastic drain.So,in dealing with small thickness range of soft soil,should give priority to control the filling height,adjust the preloading of the way and control the loading rate.
