Research On Hydraulic Oil Quality Problems

Hydraulic oil is composed of base oil and additives. The performance of thebase oils, which provides hydraulic oil the most basic properties like cooling,anti-oxidation, anti-corrosion and other performances, are key factors. Additivesprovide the additional performance.In the actual manufacturing process of hydraulic oil, due to the compatibilityissues of different oil components, the quality of oils need improvement. In processfor the production of L-HL32 hydraulic oils, the quality problems were determineddue to working principle,practical technique ,production technology, application ofeffects and laboratory analysis of oil, to identify cause of the problems.In two groups of laboratory formulations designed, it was determined finallythat the single component formulation could be reacted with ZDDP in compoundedformulation B to produce polar carboxylate salt. It resulted in precipitation problem innon-polar base oil.Through the formulation research, compounded formulation C, compoundedformulation G, the compatibility of single component formulations and compoundedformulations were investigated.It was determined that the single componentformulations developed and compounded formulations had good compatibilities withash formulations.According to the above results, the L-HL32 hydraulic oils were heated to 35～50℃and kept standing till precipitations were formed. Then it was kept standing for3 days.The precipitations were filtered with PE1 filter bag. The filtered L-HL32hydraulic oils were added with 0.3% compounded formulation B and then treatedaccording to the general method of the L-HL32 hydraulic oilproduction process.Through effective measures, the quality of hydraulic oil was improved.
