Our current energy resources have many problems such as energy resources those can be used in force are limited, great total and low per capita in energy consumption, irrational energy structure, high-quality energy has a low percent. According to this actuality, it is an important approach to develop renewable energy such as solar energy vigorously. In our country, solar energy, wind energy and water energy in which solar energy is richer are very suitable for exploiture, and solar energy is also safe and clean. Then, solar chimney generation system is considered to a clean energy new technology which has optimistic prospects and can provide large power because of some advantages of it recently.This paper has educed related theory formula through analyzing the 100MW solar chimney generation system and the three major components which are collector, turbine and chimney; a geometric model has been done according to the sizes of system and collector, and then partitioned into grid; Numerical simulation with SIMPLE algorithm has been used to analyze the velocity field, pressure field and temperature field of fluid in the collector and chimney of the solar chimney system for different conditions, in addition, the average temperature of ground, the environment temperature, the difference of the two above and the theory output power of system in one day also were analyzed dynamically.The results of numerical simulation show that the average inlet and outlet velocity of collector, average increase in temperature, the difference of the turbine's inlet and outlet, the theory output power of turbine, the theory conversion efficiency of system and the power supplied by chimney grow with the solar radiation, however, the output power and energy conversion efficiency of system have maximums; in addition, 100MW solar chimney generation system has suitable temperature and wind speed for cropper growing; moreover, the results of numerical simulation validate the delay of heat transfer process.
