Research On The Current Situation, Methods And Improvement Of Adaptive Reuse Of The Old Industrial Buildings In Wuhan

Many cities in China in the current industry is making the awkward transition, Industries in the city center before due to environmental pollution, industrial restructuring and other reasons have turned to suburban for development, leaving a large number of abandoned, unused old industrial buildings, it's a serious problem, Wuhan is no exception. Old industrial buildings wan to continue to survive and develop to adapt to the new situation must look for new functions, this thesis proposes a " Adaptive reuse" concept, it means using appropriate methods to reform the dysfunctional old industrial buildings, change the use function, so that it can recover, access to new life.This thesis selects nine old industrial buildings of Wuhan, analyzes the present situation of adaptive reuse of old industrial buildings in Wuhan, divides nine cases in accordance with the use of function into a part of commercial residential, the dormitory and apartment construction, creative industries buildings, commercial buildings, industrial museums five parts, citing successful cases to compare with them, analysis the advantages and disadvantages of adaptive reuse of old industrial buildings in Wuhan.This thesis analyzes the values of old industrial buildings, historical value and use value these two different cases of adaptive reuse of old industrial buildings should be used in appropriate countermeasures, combined with the nine cases of Wuhan City, analyzes the situation of the adaptive reuse by using the value of old industrial buildings.At the same time, this thesis discusses the specific methods of adaptive reuse of old industrial buildings elements from the space, modeling, construction, give the appropriate domestic and international success examples, summarize the specific methods which taken in the adaptive reuse of old industrial buildings in Wuhan.Finally, this thesis combines domestic and international relevant norms and recommendations for the protection and reuse of industrial heritage, and recommendations on the adaptive reuse of old industrial buildings in Wuhan to make some improvements, such as the government should decide the fate of the important old industrial buildings, and the corresponding regulations should be promulgated ; architects should recognize the importance of old industrial buildings and to increase the level of the adaptive reuse design; developers should also enhance the protection awareness of the old industrial buildings; the degree of public participation should be increased.
