Energy shortages and environmental degradation have become the world crisis, ground source heat pump, environmental friendly and energy-saving, gets much attention and has been widely used at home and abroad. Due to the high initial investment and less energy efficiency of ground source heat pump systems, it is very crucial to optimize the design and operation of ground source heat pump systems, in order to increase the energy performance and lower initial investment and operating cost.In this paper, hybrid ground source heat pump system model(Hybrid-GSHP) is created in Energyplus software, the Hybrid-GSHP device models are introduced in detail. The influence of borehole depth and pipe velocity to GSHP is analyzed with dynamic simulation model. The objective function of GSHP system optimization is proposed- the dynamic annual value, including dynamic system operating cost and initial investment annual equivalent value. GSHP initial investment and operating cost are affected by the total length of underground pipes, the borehole depth L or the borehole number N is selected as the optimization variable, Hooke Jeeves-Particle Swarm optimization algorithm or Particle Swarm optimization algorithm is adopted to minimize the objective function respectively, gets the optimum borehole depth or borehole number design value. Intelligent optimization simulations are done to design the Hybrid-GSHP of an office building, gets the optimum values. Java language is used to set the optimization variables, objective function and optimization algorithm, Energyplus is called to simulate GSHP if necessary. Finally, sensitivity analysis is done to factors that affect the results of ground source heat pump system optimization, gets the relationship between objective function, optimal variable and affecting factors, guides the ground source heat pump system optimization and economic analysis.
