Digital Substation Technology Research Andapplication

With the development of electronic transformer, digital protective and monitoring device and computer networks, and promulgation of IEC61850 standard, digital transformer substation become feasible and may solve lots of problems in traditional transformer substation for the development of smart grid.This article has introduced the structure, composition, functional design and technique application feasibility of digital transformer substation. This paper focused on the following:Firstly, the concept of digital substation, the distinction between the digital substation and normal substation, the research status of digital substation at home and abroad, and the significance during the intelligent network construction period are briefly introduced; secondly, the critical technology, including electronic transformer technology, smart switch technology, merge unit and synchronism, IEC61850 standard etc. are analyzed and discussed; finally, take a practical case of digital transformer substation for example, practical application of digital transformer substation is studied in detail, including design principle and device application.
