As the concept of smart grid proposed, the development of the power grid has new directions. As an important basis for the smart grid, digital substation has increase in quantity and progress in technical.In this paper, solutions of some issues in the digital substation construction are proposed. From the points of primary and secondary systems professional design perspective, the basic characteristics and the current situation of equipment and technique of digital substation are analised in four aspects:current development of digital substation, consisting of digital substation, IEC61850 standards and a variety of intelligent, primary and secondary equipment. Based on the study of a number of key technology, further analysis of the development and current situations of digital substation applications home and abroad are conducted. Moreover, the anti-interference protective measures taken in design of secondary device was introduced. Combined with the construction of the Tianning Substation in Lvliang City, technical issues of design ideas, electrical equipment selection and project implementation etc. in digital substation construction are explored, including:(1) The background, significance and research Status at home and abroad about digital substation;(2) How to understand the main content of the IEC 61850 standard. technical characteristics of the standard and the effects of the IEC 61850 standard on the modern digital substation are introduced in detail;(3) From the analysis of structure, advantages and disadvantages of electronic transformer, the influnce brought to conventional secondary system by the application of electronic transformer are clarified to eliminate concerns brought by the use of new equipment and new technologies;(4) Seminar GOOSE network and procedural manipulation techniques in digital substation applications, optimized its building program and to further improve the comprehensive automation level of substation applications(5) Analyse the problems of anti-interference that the protection equipments suffered while the substation is working, and raise pertinence solutions according to the combination of relevant standards.(6) Through the summary of current successful experience of the construction, and make references for the next phase of promoting digital substation and accelerating smart grid construction.
