With the accelerated process of urbanization in our country, its urban landscape construction has also been a rapid development, but the analysis of the entire development process, can be found due to the impact of Western culture, in our traditional landscape design, cultural and geographical features of inheritance has not been properly and reflect. Sometimes when we travel in a city is hard to find it city special features, similar to the streets, buildings, squares and parks, let people lost in the city, not belonging. How to inherit and develop traditional cultural heritage and geographical features in landscape design, how to coordinate the relationship between the foreign culture and traditional culture, and how to display the various cultures and characterized in the landscape, is the designers have to think and solve problems . This paper analyzes the development process of modern landscape design, put forward the problems of the landscape design faced today, and try to find method to solve these problems from our traditional Confucian thinking. Interpretation of Confucian thought that can be said is the crystallization of our traditional culture, which contains many of the guiding significance ideas for modern landscape design; through analyzing and summarizing these ideas, this paper provides more theoretical guidance for the development of modern landscape design. And mainly discusses in the landscape design that how to deal with the relationship between man and nature, how to coordinate the foreign culture and the conflict between traditional culture. Its purpose is to be able to learn their thought, and applied to the modern landscape design, making the modern city landscape is not only to beautify the environment, but also be inheriting regional culture and history is an indispensable part of.
