With the acceleration of the process of urbanization and the increasing ownership ofvehicles, the issue of transportation has become a thorny and difficult problem in urban. As thecity traffic artery of traffic network, urban bone road take the great role in the traffic flow. Tosolve the urban traffic problem, the most importance is to improve the capacity of the skeletonroute, to reduce the number of vehicles blocking. Owing to geography resources and the fundslimit, to satisfy the needs of municipal transportation is hard to implementation just by biginvesting in traffic construction still. Therefore, improving the capacity of delivery vehiclesabout the existing traffic line become the breakthrough point of solves overburdened of theurban road facility.On the basis of analyzing the problems of traffic signal coordinated of trunk, the thesismakes a study on optimal control of dynamic Bidirectional Green-Wave. The research mainlyincludes several parts as follows:Some discussions on the concept and target of Bidirectional Green-Wave are done, andthe models of Bidirectional Green-Wave are constructed by the analysis of the property indexesin traffic control, also the thesis makes the study on the models of Bidirectional Green-Waveand the basic concepts and principles of multi-objective optimization. In the end, theoptimization objectives-delays and parking rates are given. After the above discussion, thethesis optimizes the models of multi-objective by Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO), and givesthe detail description of basic optimal steps.Secondly, the thesis dicussed the layout of traffic acquisition sensors in the main road. Oncondition of the different roads, this thesis give some discussions on the reasonable layout oftraffic acquisition sensors to have a good collection of accurate traffic parameters and trafficsignals in the main road. And the whole ideas about the layout of traffic acquisition sensors aregiven.Thirdly, taking as the research background of two adjacent intersections of Baixia Road,Nanjing, the optimization control scheme of Green-Wave are alalyzed, which proves themethod is efficiency and feasible.
