"Leisure" is deeply rooted among the people in today's society. This paper research the representative of the leisure square spaces in order to meet the needs of the leisure space for the people. The purpose is to build a recreational landscape which is enjoyment, hommization and personalization, meanwhile the article research the deficiencies of the square at present as well. Leisure square is the gathered place for citizens, so the research can provide more humanized recreational space, shape the rich of individual character characteristic of city image, and promote civil public communication has a vital significance. Through some characteristic leisure square landscape to build vivid urban leisure life and rich city culture, meet the public demand, which enjoy popular feeling. Therefore, shaping a vivid and lively, attractive urban leisure square space becomes the main task of the designer in city.The author practically investigated the leisure squares in Kunming and Hangzhou, found what the problems exist, and analyzed what are the main factors caused those problems, put forward some Suggestions to solve the problems, and pointed out the design development trend of the future urban leisure square space will toward meet human needs, with the characteristics of humanization, enjoyment and personalized ect. Based on those problems on city square construction and the development direction on landscape in the future, put forward the new concept of "interest landscape". The thesis from three aspects provided theoretical foundation for interesting landscape design:First study how to infuse with "emotion" and "interesting" more scientific and better from psychological behavior, and make it possible to experience landscape; Second from built the participation of water scene, plant and the aspect of natural, vivid landscape elements to explain the design of leisure square interest; Three bring interesting landscape from the function of landscape sketch color, style, material qualitative for leisure square space. This paper according to the needs of different ages to discuss the design method of leisure square space, to achieve people first, and provide people an comfortable, safe, leisure, and pleasant city life environment.Finally, the author summarized a set of interesting example of landscape design pattern, and has to follow the "people experience" as the core of the humanized principle, reflect the sustainable development of ecological principle, satisfy the human physical and mental needs principles, and pay attention to group participation participatory principle. Consider the visual experience and behavior experience of the people into design, and make the landscape environment touches people's psychological feeling, "Sight stirs up one's feelings". But because the feeling of person involves psychology, and the level of everyone's appreciation and the ages are not identical, which lead to the interesting research of landscape design has some limitations.
