The underwater transponder provides the reference coordinate for the long baseline acoustic locating system, and the orientation was affected by the exact coordinate of the th underwater transponder. In the foundation of underwater transponder position measuring system, some technologies about the measuring system were carried out in this paper. The main work included designing the underwater transponder position measuring system, designing and debugging the hardware of the acoustic locating system, and designing the software of target location control platform.The method of designing the underwater transponder position measuring system was as follows:the transponder location computation method was discussed at first, then the related factors affecting the transponder location computation, including time delay measuring errors, measuring position errors, sound velocity errors, Gauss projection errors and time delay estimate errors, were simulated and analysed in MATLAB. The work above provided the theory evidence for the high accuracy location measuring system.The acoustic locating platform signal processing module was designed, the port between SDRAM and DSP in the hardware platform was designed. The communication interface of two signal processing DSP was designed and debugged. Based on the work above, SDRAM would be write in, read and controlled by DSP, and high speed communication was realized between two DSP.The target location control platform can communicate with the acoustic locating measurement by USB port. At last, the display interface was designed in a LabVIEW development environment, and in the flat of computer, the underwater transponder position measuring system calculation software was designed, the human-computer interface was designed, and the position locating results would be shown to the customers in the forms of data and electronic map separately.
