The underwater acoustic transponder is the key supporting equipment for the underwater acoustic positioning system.The underwater acoustic transponders play an important role in most marine scientific and marine engineering.Due to prolonged work in the water,transponders often require higher power consumption.Therefore,we need to focus on power consumption when designing transponders.In this thesis,a low-power transponder with acoustic response and synchronous triggering is designed according to the functional requirements of the transponder.According to the function and technical requirements of the transponder,the thesis focuses on the requirements of low power consumption and small volume.In this thesis,the design of the program includes the TMS320VC5509 A as the core of the digital processing unit,the AD8542/1 as the main chip of the analog receiving unit,and the Class D amplifier-based emission unit.Based on these work,the hardware platform circuit is designed.In this thesis,the algorithms such as correlation detection and Benthos acoustic code decoding are discussed,and the simulation is carried out.Then,the software design of the transponder is completed with the hardware platform,which realizes the transponder's response,synchronization trigger and wake-up instruction.In the aspect of power consumption,the power of the transponder is optimized from the aspects of hardware circuit device selection,software design and power management,which achieves the purpose of reducing power consumption.The results of the comprehensive test show that the designed transponder in the working frequency range can reach more than 190 dB emission source level,the use of battery-powered continuous working time of about 19 days,forwarding delay precision is within ±5?s.The work of this thesis achieves the acoustic response,synchronization trigger and duty function,which meet the pre-requirements.Applicability experiments show that the transponder works well and the state is stable,which can guarantee the normal operation of the experiment.
