Drunk driving is an important reason which causes traffic accidents. The management methods of drunken driving test and punishment are more mature in abroad. At present, some provinces have implemented blood or expiratory alcohol detection in china, but the process of operation and detection is imperfect. It lacks operability about the work on how to implement the drunken alcohol detection and how to determine the drunken alcohol assessment standard and other aspects. In the traffic accident caused by drunken driving, it plays an important role that the qualitative and quantitative analyses of alcohol data of drivers' on the identification of responsibility for the accident. Now there are some detection methods which are used in alcohol detection commonly ,for example, Breath Alcohol Tester Method, Headspace gas chromatography, Alcohol dehydrogenates method and so on. The traditional method of alcohol analysis is not only time-consuming but inaccuracy; there are biological hazards of infectious bacteria, simultaneously. Therefore, portable, high-precision, non-contact alcohol detection device research cause the attention of people. In this paper, as the research object, Raman spectroscopy contactless blood alcohol testing technology has been fully elaborated and its theoretical background and application status are expressed. Introduce the basic concepts, classification of blood alcohol testing, development of domestic and foreign research situation. Design the system of alcohol detection based on Raman spectroscopy. Then a series experiments were designed using this system to validate the performance of it, and analyze the obtained data via FT-Raman analysis technology. The consequence shows that the Raman spectroscopy contactless blood alcohol testing technology has the characters of portable, timesaving, less error and fast response.
