With the growth of vehicles and increase of traffic demand, traffic problems such as delay measurements, the increase of energy consumption, etc. caused by traffic accident and traffic jam of freeway is increasing in recent years. The practice proves that refining management of existing roads to improve transportation efficiency is the most fundamental and effective way to solve these traffic problems. And real-time effective highway traffic information is the basis of effective monitoring and management of traffic. Therefore, how to effectively obtain real-time vehicle information of highway issue has become the important contents of the intelligent management of the highway and an important foundation issues of intelligent transportation system research.First the thesis establishes the framework of the vehicle information collection of highway based on the feasibility of vehicle information collected by car mobile phone according to the analysis of characteristics of highway vehicles and mobile network coverage. And then the thesis describes the detail of location services architecture and location process of mobile location services. Besides, the paper illustrates the principles, advantages and disadvantages of several common mobile location technologies expatiates TDOA location technology. Subsequently the thesis gives specific scheme of the process of mobile phone location information and analysis of vehicle information. The paper discusses several interference and erroneous data of location information which can be eliminated and proposes the solution that we can use the map matching technology and rate smoothing technology to improve the accuracy of mobile location. On this basis, the thesis analyzes the attribute matrix of mobile phone information by fuzzy clustering analysis, suggests corresponding relationship between car mobile phone and vehicle and calculates speed and location of vehicles. At last it finds the method of motorcycle type analysis. Finally, using MATLAB to simulate three different traffic situations methods which we collect vehicle information by the mobile position to verify the validity of the method.
