Study On Connected-Way Layout Planning Of Highway And Urban Road

The connected-way which is the extension of urban road network and inter-city expressway network with the dual function of city road and highway takes on city entry and exit traffic and a small amount of cross-border traffic. At present there are many traffic problems about the connected-way in many major cities, such as traffic congestion, traffic accidents what cause people to spend more time out of the city, which are bound to become the bottleneck of the city external transport's development. With the rapid development of urban society and economy, smooth and convenient transportation has become increasingly important. Researching and resolving the connected-way between urban road and highway's problem is an important content about urban road and highway's planning and construction.Firstly, this paper analyzes the related properties about the connected-way, deeply analyzes its basic definition, functions, road traffic characteristics, and road capacity under different service levels, which provide basis for connected-way layout and theoretical support for the selection of node type and road cross section. Then, it proposes the planning ideas of the connected-way layout, analyzes different urban space morphology, urban road network types and highway cross-border pattens' influence on the connected-way layout, determines the number of the connected-way, and then uses Node importance degree based on cluster analysis to select cities' entrances, thus the layout of connected-way is determined. Thirdly, the selection of two node types that the connected-way links to the urban road and highway is analyzed and the theoretical method is brought forward, then the form of road cross section is determined. Finally, with the city of Weifang City, Shandong Province, the paper uses the actual connected-way layout between the urban road and highway to analyze the theoretical method and validate the method in practice is feasible.
