The author first states the meaning and rules of the color in the design of the modern interior decoration. On the basis of this, the author takes advantage of the theories and literatures and the investigation to analyze the specific application of the color in the modern interior decoration and then points out the different roles of the color in the design of the different interior spaces.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:Introduction points out the research background, the research objectives, the research meaning, the literature review and the research design.Part One emphasizes to introduces the importance of the color in the modern interior decoration from the following three aspects: the influence of the color on the psysiological function, the influence of the color on the psychological function and the artistic effects of the color.Part Two analyzes the design rules for the interior decoration in order to provide the basis and rules for designing the interior decoration.Part Three is the main body of the paper. In this part, the author analyzes and researches the relevant issues towards the application of the color in the interior decoration which provides certain references for us.Conclusion sums up the relevant researches about the application of the color in the interior decoration.
