The vibration of the pipeline system of the compressor, heat exchanger, tower and pump etc is very popular in petrochemical enterprises, and it is very dangerous for the industrial safety. There are many methods to solve the problems, but almost the traditional methods need to work while the pipeline system is stop, so it maybe delay the production schedule, and cause economic losses of the factory.To solve the vibration of the pipeline system, through the structural design of new type of viscous dampers and the experimental research on the performance of different damping liquid, the new damping technology was created in this paper. This technology could control the vibration of pipeline system while the system was working. Combined with the damping technology on the outlet pipeline of shell-side passes of the E-2207 heat exchanger to the inlet pipeline of T-3 tower of Sinopec Baling Branch, and the damping technology on outlet pipeline of the centrifual air compressor of Sinopec Cangzhou Branch, the damping technology on air cooler concentrated pipe of propane tower of Sinopec Jinan Branch etc, by the site test amplitude and frequency in the field, with the help of finite element software CAESARⅡ, the model of the pipeline system was build, the modals of the pipeline were analyzed, the reasons of the vibration were found, and the solution of pipe vibration was given in this paper. The viscous dampers were installed on the suitable location of the pipeline, and reduced the amplitude of the pipeline effectively. The amplitude was decreased by more than 60%.Finally according to the real parameters of the air cooler concentrated pipe of propane tower of Sinopec Jinan Branch, with the help of ANSYS, the stress of pipeline system was analyzed, and the point of the maximum stress was found. With the help of FATIGUE module of ANSYS and the S-N curve of the material in standards of analysis and design-JB4732, the fatigue life of the pipeline system which had been damped was analyzed, and got the result that the fatigue life was 30 years. It was longer than the standard designed life which was 15~20 years. Finally it gave us the conclusion that the damping technology could reduce the amplitude of the pipeline effectively, and it could significantly increase the working life of the pipeline system.
