The research is an integrated technology of asphalt-rubber (AR), stone matrix asphalt (SMA) and warm mix asphalt (WMA), and the objective is to develop a new type HMA, named Warm Mix Asphalt-Rubber Stone Matrix Asphalt (W-AR-SMA). The process and performance of warm mix asphalt-rubber, the proportion design, pavement performance and construction technology of W-AR-SMA were studied through experiments in laboratory and theory analysis. Based on test results, the grain size of crumb rubber, the content of WMA additive and production temperature of warm mix asphalt-rubber are put forward. In view of swelling and filling of crumb rubber in W-AR-SMA and gradation character of SMA, the proportion design flow of W-AR-SMA is given. Also, the pavement performance of W-AR-SMA was systematically evaluated and key parameters of blending and paving temperatures of W-AR-SMA were provided. The research has important application value and theoretical direction and will promote the widespread application of W-AR-SMA in china.
