Traffic axle-load is heavy, high degree of drainage are the main features of the modern road, which requires pavement rutting at high temperatures and does not appear to push the cold and rain erosion is not cracking, loose. Because of its ordinary asphalt molecular weight distribution is very wide, its composition determines the asphalt softening at high temperatures is easy, low-temperature embrittlement of the basic nature is easy, so difficult to meet the ordinary road asphalt urgent demands of modern traffic. SBS modified asphalt pavement with its excellent performance and in-depth development of universal attention, so that in our country and the world-wide asphalt modifier increasing proportion, currently has more than 50%.In this paper, Inner Mongolia provincial highway S313 Line for the project relies on the use of Superpave mix design method of this section of the road for asphalt pavement mix design analysis. Provincial highway S313 Line surface material using dense-graded AC-16 type of SBS modified asphalt concrete, mainly for the following areas of research.1. In the present study, based on the SBS and asphalt modifier mechanism of interaction analysis, the appropriate modifier content of the analysis of the structural characteristics of SBS modifier for the analysis and the storage stability of SBS modified bitumen, SBS modified asphalt composition and thus the change and the relationship between pavement performance have been analyzed, specifically the SBS modified asphalt concrete pavement advantages.2. The performance tests were conduct of the raw materials used in construction, the SBS modified bitumen after heating aging, its penetration was significantly greater than the asphalt than the penetration ratio, indicating that the aging of SBS modified asphalt performance is enhanced . The design grading to determine the structure, using the Solver method to determine the quality of aggregates of different size ratio.3. The use of superpave design method to determine the AC-16 gradation structure analysis shows that the selected design gradation in the basic design approach to meet superpave control points and restricted zone requirements. With the rotary compaction testing to determine the SBS modified asphalt mixture optimum asphalt content. Estimated by experimental verification can be seen that the best method to determine the asphalt content and asphalt content testing to determine the best closer.4, The superpave design method was validated using Marshall test for the SBS modified asphalt mixture, while the design of high temperature stability of asphalt mixture and water stability test, indicating that the design of the grading ratio has more good high temperature stability and water stability, help to improve service levels and service life of the road. Also conducive to the production site construction and construction quality control.
