This thesis taking the mass culture landscape design language as the research object, try to define the definition of the mass culture and landscape design language. After define the definition of mass culture landscape design language and its classification system,this thesis use the semiotics and linguistics analyses the design practice of mass culture landscape design language.There are some problems when this thesis categorize the mass culture landscape design language. Such as the concept the mass cultural is uncertain, mass culture landscape works is little, the theoretical system of mass culture is incomplete, the style of the mass culture landscape design is complex. Face to this problems, I begin to analysis the form and development of mass culture, sum up the mass culture's characteristics and use this combine mass culture landscape. Finally the mass culture landscape design language divided to:the normal landscape language, the popular landscape language, the commercial landscape language, the utopian landscape language.From to analyses the design practice of mass culture landscape design language with Semiotics, it can be divided to three types:icon, index and symbol. In the aspect of meaning-expressing, design practice the design practice of mass culture landscape design language also can be divided to three types:simile, metaphor and metonymy. These types not only express the meaning of landscape,and made landscape normal, Popular, fun to help people to enjoy landscapes.As part of postmodern landscape, the mass culture landscape not only has obvious times, and reflects to people pursuit of enjoyment. When we analyses the mass culture landscape design language, we need throw form-learning,eisegesis of meaning landscape and avoid the meaning landscape missing. With the china cultural background we can creat new mass culture landscape which both of Chinese nationality, and easy to understand, can be consumed, communicated, more popular.
