Interpretation And Modern Adaptation Of Jiangnan Vernacular Landscape Language From The Perspective Of Structuralism Linguistics

The vernacular landscape is a collection of landscapes collectively created by ordinary residents in their region,and it is a structural system containing various interrelated constituent elements.There is a close connection between vernacular landscape and agricultural production,which condenses the wisdom and labor achievements of local residents from generation to generation.It is a heritage with multiple values such as culture,aesthetics,and economy.At present,we are in a critical period of agricultural modernization development.The vernacular landscape is impacted by modernization,and its regional characteristics are gradually replaced by stylized construction.In this context,on the one hand,we need to protect and inherit the tradition of vernacular landscapes,and on the other hand,it is also necessary to explore the adaptation of vernacular landscapes to the development of agricultural modernization.In response to the above problems,this paper attempts to explore the integration of historical tradition and modern development from the perspective of vernacular landscape structure.Based on the vernacular,structural systemic and prototype characteristics of vernacular landscape,combined with the theoretical experience of architecture and related disciplines,structural linguistics is selected as the perspective and method reference for the paper in vernacular landscape research.This paper studies the characteristics,methods and paths of the theory by retrospecting the subject theory of structural linguistics and linking its application experience in other academic research fields.This method system has been translated into the research of vernacular landscape,forming the research method and path framework of vernacular landscape from the perspective of structural linguistics,which mainly includes five key links:(1)determination of object system,(2)interception and analysis of fragments,(3)refining of type schema,(4)construction of structural system and(5)synchronic integration of system.Using the above method system,the paper studies the water system,agriculture and human settlements related to agriculture in the vernacular landscape from the macro,meso and micro scales,and extracts various prototype language types in the vernacular landscape in the south of the Yangtze River.The language system of vernacular landscape is constructed based on the connection between types.Based on the perspective and method of structural linguistics,the paper constructs the vernacular landscape language system three times.The first two are interpretive constructions based on the analysis of historical data and current data,and the third is adaptive constructions based on the intersection with agricultural theory and facing the development of agricultural modernization.The vernacular landscape language system constructed three times is the main research achievement of this paper based on the structural linguistics perspective of the vernacular landscape research in Jiangnan.Focusing on the application of the vernacular landscape language system,the paper explores the corresponding application methods and discusses some misunderstandings that should be avoided,as theoretical support and supplementary explanations for the vernacular landscape language system.The research based on the perspective and method system of structural linguistics can provide a theoretical and methodological supplementary reference for the related research on vernacular landscapes.The vernacular landscape language system constructed in this paper can be used as a language reference system for the connection of vernacular landscape with regional tradition inheritance and modernization adaptation.
