For those reasons, the author hope the A Research on the City-building Color Planning will make more to concern about that topic, to improve our academic level on such subject, and to upper the quality of life.By means of collation, analysis, comparison and investigation, the thesis takes the city-building color, a crucial carrier of city color, as a research object, to summarize current problems of city-building color and explore how to plan the city-building color, in order to make it develop orderly, scientifically, and healthily. With those efforts, we can contribute to the portrait of the city and habitability index.The first portion mainly concerns about the research background, purpose, and significance of the city-building color; the second portion explains some relevant concepts and basic theories; the third portion goes to a review about the history of city-building color, and an introduction about current situation of the project; the forth portion is about the influencing factors; the fifth portion makes a conclusion about the basis content and ordinary steps of the city-building color; the sixth portion takes Changchun city as a case, investigate and analysis the building color of five function areas in the city and try to propose an appropriate design proposal.
