| This paper is for the systematic study on the city roadside green space which is separately distributed and becomes the basic component element in the city green system; it analyzes and investigates Guangzhou roadside green space's distribution map and usage details on the spot, provides relative planning idea and design advice, analyzes and discusses for the four types of popular roadside green space according to the present problems.Firstly I introduce the concept of the city roadside green space, explain from its ecological effect, society meaning and humanistic value, and point out its significant meaning in establishing high level civil open space environment, improving city cultural taste and adding comfortable degree for people.Secondly I sketch out the present development situation, the successful cases in design, construction and maintaining for the pocket-size parks in foreign countries. I also narrative the development situation and its problem in China, using the basic concept in roadside green space landscape design to discuss its categorization, basic design principle and landscape design elements.Finally I base on the usages details of Guangzhou the city roadside green space which I find out on the spot, and I divide it into four types of the city roadside green space with universal significance according to its geographic location, service scope and to whom it provides service: the city roadside green space in living district, in financial business district , in business office district and in complex environment. And I analyze and discuss the design planning on four types of the city roadside green space, and work out the users'psychology and behavior features under their different age steps and identity background, and the city roadside green space'usage period, behavior types, usage strength and landscape design elements usage situation due to the various behavior features. I provide relative design plan and advice; hope to be useful to the future career. |
