With the rapid development of national economy and construction, dump truck has been widely used. The hydraulic lift system of the dump truck is used to lifting heavy objects, and it will dump after reaching a certain height. It is the core component on the dump truck. But as the dump truck long-term work and most of the work in the relatively harsh environment, coupled with the improper operation, the various types of failures occur frequently.Through the research on the lifting hydraulic system of the dump truck, various types of failure and the cause of the failure mechanism are summarized and analysed, and the lifting hydraulic system numerical simulation test rig is designed. The lifting action of the hydraulic system on dump truck and the load on the lifting process can be simulated on the test rig. By installing sensors on the failure-prone parts, the critical oil flow, pressure and other parameters can be monitored in real-time. While the date of the parameters that be pro-processing and storage can be analysed to research the fault diagnosis and prediction, etc. The lifting hydraulic system simulation test rig is designed for domestic Dongfeng EQ3166GN-40 medium-sized dump truck. The parameter of the dump truck hydraulic system is calculated and the lifting and load analog hydraulic system is designed. In order to better monitor parameters changes in the key location, some pressure and flow sensors are arranged at the right place; The program interface is designed using VB programming language, the parameters of lift can be adjust by the program and the parameters change of sensors can be display on the interface; The weight of the change process in the lifting process can be better simulated by use of PID regulator, and the force curve in lifting process can be draw by use of MATLAB software. The lifting process of the dump truck can be good simulated in the test-bed, so as to facilitate fault diagnosis and fault prediction research, the incidence of failure can be reduced in the practical application.
