| The dump truck is some special kind of vehicle for transport. Because of its structural characteristics, the centroid of dump trucks are mostly higher than other vehicle’s. So the lifting stability is reduced during lifting unloading operations, and lifting rollover of dump trucks is the most representative and harmful kind of instability form. As for this phenomenon, a set of system, named of "Rollover Warning System for Dump Trucks During Lifting Operation", was designed in this paper.The thesis focus on the factors related to lifting stability of dump trucks, on the basis of mechanical analysis for the lifting operation. Firstly, the thesis establish the mathematical model of the dump truck during lifting, according to the structural parameters of some type of dump truck. Secondly, according to the lateral inclination angles of axles, the cabin and the frame, the thesis calculate the critical lifting angle of the cabin before rollover. Finally, the lifting angle of the cabin detected by the system would be compared with the critical lifting angle of the cabin, to predict whether there is the risk of rollover. Then the system would get warning when the risk is found.The design of "Rollover Warning System for Dump Trucks During Lifting Operation" is divided into two parts:hardware and software. In the design of hardware, the chip named of MC9S12XS128 is selected as the system’s microcontroller; The inclination angle sensors, for axles, the cabin and the frame, would be assembled for the input module of the system; Warning lights, buzzers and digital tubes would be assembled for the output module of the system; Lastly, there are many other hardware designs:the anti-jamming module, the watch dog and manufacture of the PCB board. Then the software module is designed with the programming tool of Code Warrior 5.0, and this part includes:the A/D module, the warning module, the anti-jamming module and the watch dog for the program. |
