Industrial Design Enterprise Product Innovation

The theory of industrial design has been developed for nearly 300 years in history, and in China, this theory has been introduced to research and apply for nearly 20 years. With the development of China, which towards to the world power, made in China is gradually replaced by create in China and innovate in China. The government will also put the industrial design into the important place in the strategy of the nation. And the research of industrial design is gradually furthered in China.Currently, we are under the ear of the economic globalization, technology innovation cannot satisfy the development of enterprise. More and more company put their eyes on design, hoping to use design innovation to change the form of their products in the companies, and drawing into the fresh air for their companies. Under this circumstance, more and more companies pay attention to the industrial design. User-centered is the principle of industrial design, and researching for the user needs. All of these are the focus of enterprise. Therefore, in order to enhance the competitiveness of their products, they desire to apply industrial design into the development of innovation products, which can meet users' needs, fit for the psychology of users and attract the users' attention.This paper, based on a survey of research that the impact of the industrial design on the product innovation in the enterprise. First, analyze the definition of industrial design and some relevant concepts, this process can build the theory base for this paper. Then states the general rule of the development of enterprise's innovation, and comes up with the design innovation, which is a crucial element that can contribute to the development of the company. Third, analyze the impact of the industrial design for the product innovation in the company, including the significance of the industrial design in the product innovation strategy in the company. And industrial design participates in the process of new product exploitation of the enterprise, and the specific influence of the industrial design in this process. Last, take Lenovo for example, analyze industrial design applying into the Lenovo's product design, and concludes the factors to success, and then verify the result of the research in theory. This result can also provide the suggestions for the local enterprises, which are also applying the industrial design into the product innovation in the development of the company.
