The performance of penetration ballistic during the process of kinetic energy projectile non-normal penetration into concrete is studied in this paper. The influence of the impact parameter and the projectile's structure on the performance of penetration ballistic is analysised by the means of theoretical calculation and numerical simulation.Simplified the problem of non-normal penetration into concrete, on the based of cavity expansion theory, analysised the force on the projectile during the process of penetration. According to the theory of rigid body kinematics, deduced the differential equation of motion. So a dynamic model of non-normal penetration is established. Then programming with MATLAB to obtain the time-history curves of penetration depth, velocity and overload, which are anastomosis with the results of dimensionless formula and simulation. On the basis of theoretical analysis, a orthogonal test is designed to research the primary and secondary influencing factors and influence law on penetration ballistic, then accomplished the test through numerical simulation. It is obtained that oblique angle is the main influencing factor and a higher impact velocity can improve the performance of penetration after analysised the orthogonal test result. Besides, LS-DYNA is used to analysis the influence law of different half-cone angle, caliber-radius-head and length-diameter ratio on the penetration ballistic, which include penetration depth, deflection angle and offset of penetration ballistic. It is obtained that increase the half-cone angle, caliber-radius-head and length-diameter ratio properly can improve the performance of non-normal penetration. All this work is meaningful and helpful to optimize the structure of projectile, which aims to improve the performance of penetration ballistic.
