Injection molding is the most widely used method while making molding plastic product . At present, except for a few plastic, almost all the plastic products can be made by injection molding method. According to the needs of injection molding machine and technology, injection molding machine pump motor consumes the total device power consumption up to 50% -65%, which has energy-saving potential. Design and manufacture a new generation of "energy saving" injection molding machine, has become an urgent need, All-electric injection molding machine is just to meet this need. Compared to industrialized countries, Chinese plastics industry is still in its infancy. Injection molding machine has a broad prospects in China.In this paper according to injection molding machine practical operating conditions, the use of permanent magnet motor to drive the load low speed high torque characteristics of the prototype design. According to the injection molding process, the actual clamping force needs, and the proportion of traditional gear transmission system, to determine the motor's rated torque and rated speed. Fractional slot winding, in the case the stator space in the limited, to achieve a multi-polar low-speed motor operation. And inhibition of low speed torque ripple during operation, reducing theinjection molding process for compression molding process accuracy, and improve yield.To reduce the complexity of manufacturing the rotor and to improve the rotor mechanical strength, Using steel made into yoke. A simulated example shows that the rotor yoke eddy current effects against Motor loss heat. Motor using the stator water cooling methods to achieve the cooling. Design a prototype of 30kW rated power, 100r/min rated speed, and the rated torque of 2870 Nm with high efficiency permanent magnet motor used for injection molding machines. Experiments of prototype showed that Motor key performance indicators in line with the theoretical value of the basic design to meet the pressure of plastic injection molding machinery in the process of torque and speed requirements.
