This paper made research on the key theory and technology for the visual simulation of railway rescue crane's some common physical behaviors, such as the movement of the railway rescue crane mechanism, hoisting cable and mechanism-hoisting cable-load, collision contacts, stationary contacts, friction, etc, relying on the Ministry of Railway's important subjects of scientific research and development program-'research on the railway rescue crane simulation training system'.First, this paper made in-depth study on the key theory and technology of real-time rigid body simulation based on constraint method and real-time soft body simulation based on finite element model method, finished the derivation to the related theoretical formula and the system equation'building and solving process, explained the key techniques and methods during the implementation for emphasis.Second, this paper focused on the research work on the techniques and methods of the simulation to the motion of the flexible hoisting cable, successfully developed a algorithm library for real-time soft body simulation based on finite element model method based on the theory and technology for real-time rigid body and soft body simulation, gave a new method for building the physical model of the hoisting cable based on a mixed physical model, achieved the visual simulation to the movement of the flexible hoisting cable with real physical material properties.Finally, this paper completed the application and implementation of the visual simulation to railway rescue crane's common physical behaviors in the visual simulation system of railway rescue crane driving simulator. The simulation results showed that the visual simulation to railway rescue crane's common physical behaviors met the natural physical laws and was able to make real-time interaction with the system, greatly improved the interactivity and immersive feeling of the visual simulation system of railway rescue crane driving simulator.The research work of this paper overcame the shortage and drawback of the game engine when it was used as the development platform for the visual simulation system of railway rescue crane driving simulator, and took full advantage of the superiority of game engine, had important practical and guiding significance for the development and implementation of the program of this paper and other related visual simulation system.
