Nowadays, multi-connected air-condition takes a very important role in China in the air-condition products, even though it only access to Chinese market in a short time, it grows quickly. Different air-condition system has its own characteristics, multi-connected air-condition system is no exception. It has the advantage of small, flexible, efficient, etc., which is fit for every variable load location. The multi-connected air-condition system has many types, like, frequency conversion and digital Scroll. No matter what kind of type, there are some problems need to be paid attention in pipe design, as the length of pipe affects the overall performance of air-condition system. In the actual designing, due to considering the pipeline decay, increasing equipment is always be chose, but puts little thought to the economic impact.First, a case of multi-connected air-condition system in Guangzhou is analyzed in the article. Through calculating the pressure loss of refrigerant pipe, system performance ratio affected by different pressure loss can be obtained. Meanwhile, the reasons of pipe length of multi-connected air condition system are analyzed. These provide theoretical orientation for system optimization.Second, testing the temperature change along the pipeline of the system, the relation between the temperature and pipe length is obtained. Combined with the previous analysis of piping pressure loss, we can find the method of increasing the length of the pipe. At the same time, the factors are given for ensuring the operation of the project, which provide theoretical support for the application of multi-connected air-condition.Finally, according to the capacity decay curve, the economic performance of multi-connected air-condition system design is considered according with a common office case. It is not only satisfied the energy efficiency requirements, but also satisfied the economic requirements. The results provide better basis for multi-connected air-condition system.
