Since the Sixteenth National Congress. China's high-speed railway construction is expanding in full swing, and correspondingly, the construction of modern railway passenger stations is also carried out throughout the country, and the steel structure has become the major structural style of large scale passenger stations. Because the large railway passenger stations always have the features of rich shapes, tall space complex construction techniques, etc., the research on the fabrication and installation, construction organization of this kind of steel structures will bring some references for other similar projectsHangzhou East Railway Station Hub Project has a strong representation in the construction of large-scale railway hub projects. Particularly the steel structure project of the station building is very complex, and its steel structure covers the station departure layer, elevated waiting layer and roof. The underground part covers large-diameter steel pipe columns, welding H-beam steel ribs with a large cross-section in the track layer, vertical and horizontal beam frames; the elevated waiting layer use many large-span steel trusses, and the laminated layer uses many profile steel beams; roof support system includes spinal pipe columns with complex variable ellipse cross-sections and the giant lattice steel columns in the east and west, and the roof system mainly uses the pipe truss system. During the construction, the underground steel columns, vertical and horizontal beams in the track layer, and trusses in the elevated layer adopt on-site lifting. Some large-span steel trusses in the elevated layer and some large-span shaped steel beams in the laminated layer adopt sectional lifting; roof support steel columns adopt sectional lifting, some roof trusses adopt on-site lifting, the large-span trusses in the middle and the "fish eyes" above the elevated layer adopt the overall lifting and installation, and small trusses are used to fill the vacancy at a high altitude. The construction schedule is tight, and the station building is used as a transportation hub in a central position. Usually, there are subways in the lower part and squares in the surrounding. The railway station and municipal road need parallel construction, with many interfaces, junctions, and boundary conditions. Many railway station buildings involve interchange of the existing railway lines, and the construction organization study on the steel structure construction shall be combined with the characteristics, different from common single projectsThis paper explores the steel structure fabrication, installation and construction technologies of station buildings of Hangzhou East Railway Station; it summariz the experience during project construction, and details the fabrication and installation etc. key technologies for steel structure of this project and organizational research of steel structure construction under complex construction environment.
