In recent years, with the rapid development of railways, the construction of railway station buildings has become a vital component of large-scale infrastructures in China. For purpose of the unique spatial shape and building functional needs of railway station, long-span and large column-grid spatial steel structures are adopted. However, the additional internal forces and deformations caused during the construction process can’t be neglected since there are many associated factors which affect the behavior of structure. At present, the theoretical analysis of construction process for railway station structure is not mature and lack of the measured data support, consequently, construction simulation and monitoring is indispensable for this kind of structures. Taking the Hangzhou east railway station building project as the background, the construction stage monitoring conducted by using self-developed wireless sensors monitoring system is introduced, also the stress and vibration regularity on construction stage is studied during the text.Firstly, the fundamental components and the construction characteristics of railway station are summarized and the method of key structural components discrimination based on alternate path method in construction stage is stated as the guidance of optimal arrangements of measured points. Aiming at the stress and vibration acceleration of structure, some monitoring methods and their respective advantages and disadvantages are generalized, and the monitoring method suited to the structure of railway station is compared and selected. Meanwhile, a monitoring system based on wireless sensor technology is applied to the construction monitoring. Besides, the post-processing methods of monitoring data are researched preliminarily and achieved by the designed programs.On the foundation of the construction technology and characteristics summary of integral lifting which is widespread adopted in the steel structure of railway station building, the principle, practicality, improvement measures, merits and drawbacks of existing two practical methods, e.g. birth-death element and multi-stage construction algorithm, are analyzed, and the method that more suitable for integral lifting construction is chosen. The static mechanical model of integral lifting construction is established, and a quantitative judgment method of adverse combination of lifting points’displacement difference is put forward to estimate the influence over the structure. At the same time, the lifting points’displacements for the practical engineering can be calculated to consider the impact on structural performance by measured values.The stress and vibration acceleration are monitored for Hangzhou east railway station building project at whole construction stage, and the measured stress data is compared with the values calculated by finite element theory. The variation rule of key components’ internal forces and vibration influence of superstructure caused by trains are summarized, and temperature stress during the erection process is discussed from two aspects of theoretical calculation and field measurement.
