Vehicle on-board controller, as an important constituent of train control system, plays a significant role in ensuring traffic safety. Vehicle on-board controller is a Safety-Critical System, so it must be tested comprehensively before put into operation. The outdated methods used in test environment setting and testcase coding have led to a low test efficiency. With the development of hardware and software technology, some new simulation test technologies which can improve test efficiency and quality have emerged, such as dSPACE. dSPACE has been applied to automotive and aerospace fields successfully. The purpose of this thesis is to introduce dSPACE into train control filed, improving the efficiency and quality of Vehicle on-board controller test.Firstly, the thesis analyzes the shortcomings of traditional test methods, with the conclusion that the cycle of test environment setting is too long, and the efficiency of manual-coding software is too low. Then, this thesis researches the hardware and software system of dSPACE, sums up the application ways of dSPACE, analyzes the advantages of dSPACE, and demonstrats the feasibility of applying dSPACE to test Vehicle on-board controller. Thirdly, this thesis researchs how to use dSPACE to test the hardware of Vehicle on-board controller, and gives a specific example. The test process indicates that because the hardware of dSPACE has a wealth of I/O interfaces, the software code running on dSPACE can be generated from simulink model automatically, and dSPACE has much convenient experiment software, dSAPCE makes up the deficiencies of traditional testing methods and improves test efficiency obviously. After that, this thesis presents an implementation program of Vehicle on-board controller Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation system, including system requirements, system architecture, and models of each subsystem. Drawing the idea of finite state machine and applying the tool-stateflow to establish the train logic model is the innovation of this article. Finally, off-line simulation of each subsystem is implemented to verify the correctness of the modeling. In summary, this thesis researches how to apply a new kind of simulation test technology based on dSPACE to test Vehicle on-board controller, and achieves some findings, which have an exploration value.
