With the development of Electronic Control System and its widely used in the field ofautomobile, the automobile steps into multi-function intelligent era. The electronic controlsystem makes our driving more comfort, security and stability. However, with respect tolarge and complex electronic control system, how to ensure the electric control systemstable work is a key problem to be solved. Electric control system of the traditional testmethod is based on the real car bench or prototype real vehicle. The test has a great deal ofdefects, such as inadequate test coverage, high test cost and long test cycle, the threat of thepersonal safety of test personnel and so on. Hardware in loop test simulates a virtual realityenvironment on simulator for testing Electronic Control Unit (ECU),test implementationcan be done in the laboratory environment, which means that can be tested under thecondition of lack of prototype. It not only can save cost, but also can be set up in thesimulation of random extreme condition test. Hardware in loop test saves test time,increases the test coverage, and at the same time also can ensure the safety of the tester.This paper aimes at the vehicle electronic control system test requirement whichproposed byautomobile manufacturers, combination with dSPACE simulator research andanalysis, establishes a complete set of testing process theory system, and developes anefficient car electronic control system testing platform. The platform develop hardwaresystem based on dSPACE simulator, the resource configuration is flexible, the appearanceis neat and beautiful and it is strong commonality. The test platform use dSPACE model forsecondary development, achieves model and the real vehicle performance perfect match.The test system developed friendly PC interface by ControlDesk software, realizedreal-time manual testing of ECU, what’s more we can developed automated test scripts withAutomationDesk software, so we can test automated on the basis of manual testplatform.Test platform can rapid, accurate and convenient comprehensive test of the electriccontrol system, greatly improve the test efficiency, ensure the car manufacturers to timelydiscover and solve the problem of electric control system in the process of modeldevelopment. On the one hand, shortening the period of the development of the new modlecar; on the other hand enhance the security and stability after new modle car appear on themarket. Therefore, this topic research is of great significance in the practical application ofcar development.
