Combined with the national science and technology major projects of 10m threads dynamic detector, a large, precise and efficient CNC thread processing equipment, the subject developed a laser dynamic measuring system of the comprehensive travel error for 10m ball screws, in order to meet the factory requirements for large ball screw automotive measuring and production.According to the measuring instrument design requirements and basic principles, the overall design was put forward. A synchronized displacement comparison method of dynamic measuring the ball screw was presented in the paper. Renishaw laser length measuring and control system was used as length measurement datum, which has a environmental compensation unit implemented the compensations online. The round grating was used as angle measurement standard; counting card collected the two pulse signals. Mechanical design, stiffness checking and structure optimization of the measuring system was completed, such as the design of headstock, guide, measuring rack, lathe bed and tail frame, the stiffness checking and the structure optimization of measuring rack and lathe bed, so that the instrument accuracy was meted, the measuring accuracy was improved.Additionally, the paper analyzed the error sources of affecting measuring accuracy of ball screws travel error, drew up the overall accuracy distribution table, then analyzed and calculated the measurement errors, took reasonable actions to reduce or eliminate the errors, finally established the overall accuracy to determine instrument design rationality and ball screw precision grades.Lastly, the paper calculated travel variation with 2Ď€section method, shortened the computation time; developed the measurement and control system software based on VB and Access. The verification regulations for dynamic detector instrument were also established in this paper, the dynamic measurements were completed on the detector system, and the results were analyzed statistically in order to judge instrument cycle dispersion, repeatability data and the total uncertainty.
